Concrete By Design LLC

Have a question about decorative concrete? We have the answer at Concrete By Design LLC. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • Are you insured?

Of course! We carry both general and auto insurance policies for your protection.

  • What do you charge for an estimate?

Local estimates are always free. However, we do charge for long-distance travel.

  • How long will the process take?

Each project timeline is unique. It depends on the existing surface, the application desired, the project size, and our availability. If it is an exterior project, the weather is also a factor. However, overall, our projects are usually completed within one week.

  • What colors are available for my concrete?

There are a variety of options available for each application. Color charts are available to view upon request.

  • What are the benefits of trusting Concrete By Design LLC?

At Concrete By Design LLC, we’ve got over 17 years of experience with concrete, and we bring a wealth of industry knowledge with us to every job. Due to the nature of concrete, it’s almost impossible to prevent some cracking during the lifetime of the surface. However, with our expertise, we can minimize cracking, repair worn surfaces, and ensure a well-placed application.

  • What is the most important factor in concrete resurfacing and staining?

The key to success with concrete resurfacing and staining is preparation. A properly prepared concrete substrate is vital. To ensure you get the best results, this is our process at Concrete By Design LLC. First, we clean the concrete. This can include grinding, pressure washing, and acid etching. After that, we fill the cracks and damaged areas with concrete repair products. This creates a more stable surface that allows the resurfacing efforts to be more successful.

  • Is decorative concrete maintenance-free?

While manufacturers frequently claim otherwise, there’s no flooring that’s truly maintenance-free. When comparing concrete applications to other flooring options, maintenance is relatively easy. Of course, the level of maintenance depends largely on the type and frequency of the traffic your flooring experiences. For example, residential applications require much less attention than high-traffic commercial spaces.

  • How long does concrete flooring last?

Concrete floors rarely, if ever, need to be replaced. This is especially true if the installation is done properly and the floors are maintained. The lifespan of concrete floors is longer than almost any other flooring option. It keeps your life hassle-free!

  • Are decorative concrete floors expensive?

Initially, the cost of decorative concrete is higher than the cost of a low-priced or mid-priced floor covering. Carpet, vinyl, and wood laminates are cheaper on the front end, but they won’t give you the same return on your investment. Bob Harris, an industry expert, points out that “when you amortize the cost of a concrete floor over a lifetime, the price can be comparable or even lower than other high-end flooring materials.” If you are considering a higher-end option like slate, marble, or ceramic tile, decorative concrete is a suitable alternative. In addition, a skilled concrete artisan like the contractors at Concrete By Design LLC can duplicate the look of other high-end flooring options.
